I think it was the X/Y no shiny train

Eh, doesn't matter to me. Maybe we should get a thread going for shinies...

i looked up a bunch of gen6 shinies, and for the most part they're all really cool.
though there's pretty much no way chesnaught's shiny shouldn't have been its standard coloration.

It doesn't even look like a Pokemon with its colouring.

And the other may not be one of my favorites but I'm still pretty okay with it
And both of them are pretty useful in-game
And I caught both of them early enough in the game to actually get some real in-game use out of them
And it's not like I chainfished or radared or sweetscented or anything, it was all just luck for both of them
how do you even GET luck like that, so unreal

i named him that because i thought shiny goomy looked like a delicious fruity dessert
any resemblances to the name of any person(s) is purely coincidental

I think its name is already Shiny. Unless iT is just experimenting with unconventional syntax and grammatical constructions.

i didn't come up with moe and gelato's names until going back to the name rater, i just named them AAAAAAAAAAAA and YES respectively because i take a while to come up with proper names, and i was worried that i may accidentally turn off the game during the five minutes i'd spend on the naming screen

I named my Skrelp Andromeda right after I caught her. Now, don't ask me why Andromeda. I think I was thinking sea monsters like the one Perseus slew that was going to eat the princess Andromeda? Although at least I still remember that one after a week, unlike Clarence the Panpour. I completely forgot until one of my friends guessed he was named for Clarence Darrow. In case you haven't noticed, my nicknaming patterns are extremely erratic.

I named my shiny Skrelp "Walter". I don't know why.

If we're doing name suggestions for shinys, I just names my shiny woobat I caught way back when "Star" because it was, well, shiny. If anyone got a better name...

Yeah, the Red Gyarados doesn't count since you're forced to encounter it. Neither do the shiny Haxorus in the Nature Preserve or the Gible/Dratini you get from beating Black Tower/White Treehollow (although at least with those you had to work for them, rather than just passively following the plot, so they probably count a little more).

cause for my first shiny, a budew in diamond, i didnt have any pokéballs
and for my second shiny, a tailow in y, i was trying to catch it and WHOOPS CRITICAL

See, that's why I usually always have a Pokemon on my team with false swipe. Unless they have any selfharming moves, I don't have to worry about killing them.

but they exist for you as far as ive seen there might just be a randomly red gyarados programed into the lake of rage which you get to fight
