Lumiose is too big. And the fact that you have a Houndoom tells me you have X, which means you don't get Houndoominite. Unless I'm wrong and you got it through a trade, or you've found someone willing to give you their Houndoominite.

beyond that, it took me until then to realize my pokemon was rolling around spastically down there because i was on the skates, not because it was doing a happy dance or something.

i am normally ghost gym but somebody else can take it because i already claim cool gym

here's what you do to get to the routes around lumiose

figure out what route you are at, look at your map and figure out how many exits away you are from the one you need to go to, and figure out if you have to go clockwise or counterclockwise.

anywhere else in the city you can just use the minimap

doing the looker quest helps you learn the layout of the city pretty well

NN, that's because my wi-fi situation is screwy BUT I think I have a way around it that will basically mean I don't have to worry about wi-fi. I don't have time to try to set it up and try it out tonight, but it works for my friend, so I'm optimistic (it's actually Connectify from way back when, but apparently it doesn't work right on Windows 8 computers, which is what I tried it on when helping a different friend earlier; my laptop uses Windows 7, which should work). Once I get that up and running, I'll add everyone's Friend Codes.

Also I call final gym (or penultimate if someone already called dibs, or antepenultimate if penultimate is taken, etc.; basically the highest slot that's free).

Oh I'm gonna be gym #4 or #5 I think. Probably more #5. Dpends on what we classify as "typical" levels for each gym though because they really vary. Go for HGSS levels and you're looking pretty low on average. Go for XY levels and suddenly you're looking at much higher levels for each leader.

Below is a list of the range of levels for each gym. I'm going from D/P to XY. The absolute lowest value is the first, and the absolute highest if the second.
Gym 1: Lvl 9 - 14
Gym 2: Lvl 15 - 25
Gym 3: Lvl 17 - 30
Gym 4: Lvl 21 - 34
Gym 5: Lvl 29 - 37
Gym 6: Lvl 30 - 42
Gym 7: Lvl 30 - 48
Gym 8: Lvl 38 - 59

Now let's discount HGSS and XY, because they're pretty anomalous in their levels.

Gym 1: Lvl 11 - 14
Gym 2: Lvl 16 - 22
Gym 3: Lvl 21 - 30
Gym 4: Lvl 25 - 32
Gym 5: Lvl 29 - 37
Gym 6: Lvl 33 - 41
Gym 7: Lvl 37 - 48
Gym 8: Lvl 41 - 51

That's probably slightly more accurate a level spread. We could go with a Kalos and have a higher level creep. Either way base don these numbers and Primeape's presence on my team, I'm going to need to be at least Gym 4. Gym 4 actually works nicely for me for my other Pokemon, so I'll go for that.

EDIT: 8 types per gym leaves 10 types for E4 members. 2 Each gives a further 8 leaving us with two types, possibly for the Champion/Evil team(s) (they tend to have a type they use a lot). So yes, BE, you can be a dual type. Just make sure we haven't used your type in a Gym Yet.

Well, I said my gym team would be around level 30 and I wanted fifth or sixth gym.

So I guess I am the fifth gym leader and my type is psychic.

If you're the seventh leader, I think you could probably get away with Bastiodon if you wanted. Aegislash too, actually.

Since Bastiodon evolves at level 30 already, I think you not only could but you actually SHOULD use it.

I'd forgotten about the Evo levels for the Sinnoh fossils.

Man, Rampardos is like, SO good. A while back now I replayed Platinum with what I called "If I were to play Platinum for the first time right now, this would be my team". Had Infernape, Staraptor, Luxray, Gallade, Rampardos and Floatzel. It was rad as shit.

I should probably get back to my Caplocke at some point actually... Current team is Torterra/Pachirisu/Flareon/Yanmega/Dusclops/Something Else I can't remember. That's a pretty decent team too.

ill take gym six because that makes sense with the number of pokemon
granted it doesnt make sense with carvanhas level but that means that i get a sharpedo for the first gym battle which is not a bad thing at all is it now

so oficially gym six giving dark pulse
first time is pawniard sneasel sharpedo and absol with the plus 2
rematch is still pangoro malamar bisharp weavile sharpedo and megaabsol

overall lower levels than normal, but with an added pokemon. [wait, didn't gen2's flying leader have three even though he was the second? ah, whatever. mine have dickish movesets.]
