Team Flare's battle theme is fucking awesome.
I had to turn off my Exp. Share in the second gym, both starter pokemon are level 29 right now.
Current team:

(F) Artemis, level 23 Croagunk
(M) Elvis, level 27 Pansage (I know, I know. There are better grass types.)
(F) Zoelle, level 26 Kirlia
(F) Tiamat, level 29 Charmeleon
(M) Frank, level 29 Frogadier
(F) Hauteclere, level 27 Honedge

I think my pokemon will be higher leveled than the gym leader's. Also Frank's Sp. Atk EVs are maxed out. His Water Pulse hits like a fuggin' freight train.

Did you know that Shadow Claw is in Glittering Cave? Good way to have a killer Honedge early in the game~

Hey guys, something I heard that everyone might want to be aware of: apparently saving outside in Lumiose City can corrupt your save file due to a glitch. I assume a lot of people have already made it beyond Lumiose by this point, but it's still good to know.

i think i might dump my pancham for something better that i find later in the game, i mean i haven't even beaten the second gym and i already have five team members

i want to keep the steelix but it's hard to find good moves for it

Ah, yes, I've heard of that. Supposedly the camera angles freak out the game and you can't do anything, forcing you to delete your save. It only happens outside on the streets, though, and it only happens if you load a save file saved out there, but be sure to keep it in mind, guys.

Kind of wondering if Inkay/Malamar learn any Water-type moves, since I just dumped Wartortle for it...

Probably not. They're Dark/Psychic, and we know Malamar is Physical-oriented, while most Water moves are Special.

Probably so. Water-type or not Water-type, they are sea-dwelling creatures, and similarly aquatic-but-not-Water-type pokèmon have learned Water moves before. Remember Stunfisk? Heck, even freakin' Helioptile learns Surf.
Of course, I doubt they'll get any good physical Water moves by level up; you'll probably have to wait for Waterfall, which is very late-game usually.

I have a Lv. 28 Inkay, soon to be a Malamar, and I can confirm that he has not learned any Water moves yet.

Current party:
Cool Dude/Inkay - Lv. 28 (two levels guys)
Blaise/Delphox -  Lv. 41 (i dont think ive been overusing him at all)
Sashimi/Binacle - Lv. 26 (gotta traaaaaain i want a barbaracle before the next gym)
MDR/Mega Blastoise - Lv. 37 (that's right bitches i got my fuckin mega blastoise)
Ballestra/Doublade - Lv. 36 (hits like a nuisance supertanker)
Flavio I/Floette - Lv. 32 (hasn't been getting a lot of use, but he just learned petal blizzard, im sure he'll kick some ass with that)

Technically I have Mega Lucario instead of Cool Dude right now, but I'm shoving him in the PC once my headache from the 3D goes down.

One more: anybody got a dusk stone they'd be willing to trade over on a clauncher? Or really on any pokemon?

I was using Enoby the floette for a while but I abandoned her in the box after getting Caledwelsh because I already had a much better fairy-type. There are still more pokèmon I'd really like to try using, but I don't want to get rid of any of my current six, because I just like them all too much. I miiight just have to have a team rotation.

I just realized how stupid I was for naming my Fletchling Apollo instead of Phoenix. Should I rename?

That took way longer than it should have.

its later two forms even have little backward-pointing featherspikes and everything
add like four or five more spikes around their one and it'd basically be a perfect fit for phoenix's hairstyle

Aaaaaghhh I'm trying to train up Glb'golyb the inkay but she is suffering from "four-moveslot syndrome" so much
 
There are like, so many neat strategies I can use with different combinations of her moves, but there's just not enough room in her moveset ughhhhhh :<

Seriously Game Freak, Gen VII. We're waiting. Except I don't know if they could make the games compatible with the older games but we probably wouldn't be able to transfer back anyways so the extra ___ moveslots could just be empty when a Pokémon got transferred up.

Infestation is... an unnerving attack, to say the least. At least it only has 20 base power.

I was snarking at how the name "Twiggy" was such a ridiculous name, and obviously a Grass user. Someone named Twiggy is obviously not going to be in a Psychic gym.

That reminds me.

Has anyone seen a Dark type gym yet? And what about a Fairy type gym?

Also, Fake Out has been nerfed sooo much. I don't know what to say.

Huh? How? Isn't it the same as it's always been? I'm looking at it right now and it says 40 power, 100 accuracy, and 10 PP.
