Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
These have been circulating for a while now. I've also seen rumors of what their abilities might be, but they were so laughably overpowered that they had to be fake (I'm pretty sure I never saw any screenshots displaying the supposed abilities, either, which is just further indication).

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
no no no
get down from there
hoenn remakes would have been a little more likely had they updated the music files instead of basically recording the MIDIs to mp3s.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
didnt we come to the conclusion that they were going to skip ruby and saphire because hgss and frlg both had the original games soundtrack as well and it wouldnt make sense to release the soundtrack rse and then release the rerelease games sountrack
or in short hoenn confirmed to not be happening
or in short hoenn confirmed to not be happening
Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Yeah, it does make it less likely that we'd be seeing Hoenn remakes anytime soon, but if they keep to the trend of releasing a new game approximately every year and they choose to release Z before Hoenn remakes, we'd be looking at about two years before we'd see the remakes, and they'd probably figure that it would be too long to wait for the soundtrack. And of course if we are seeing a brand-new region in Gen VI, that could push the hypothetical remakes back even further.
Oh, we also have an announcement of a new Trozei game, but I didn't think it was that interesting so I forgot to include it in my earlier post.

Ehh, I'm just happy with the reappearance of trumpets at this point.
I never played Pokemon Trozei back in the day, is it worth checking out?

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
So I just checked Serebii, and we've got some more news. Diancie's been officially officially revealed now, and lore-wise is said to have once been a Carbink (surprise surprise). Interestingly, the official site has a screenshot with its shiny form (probably an accident, but who knows?). We also have a brief synopsis of the upcoming movie, and a guarantee that the DPPt, BW, and B2W2 soundtracks will be released before the end of 2014.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Guys, assuming anything r.e Hoenn remakes based in the release of music tracks is nonsensical and kinda fanatic. When they come, they'll come. We'll know what worthy speculation is when we come across it (e.g the "new game" announcement with the gold and silver balls pre-HGSS, that was kind of in-your-face).
It's nice to have carbink explicitly related to diancie officially. Maybe since they're rock based, the trigger was the same thing that formed the mega stones.
Why DO Pokémon love rocks so much. What's that about.

hoenn remakes are the new pokebank
they also were the old pokebank but we were too worried for a bit about pokebank to care about them

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Oh right, I don't know if it ever got posted here, but we also know Diancie's ability: Clear Body, just like Carbink. Those fishy abilities have now been confirmed fake, which is good, because I vaguely remember Hoopa's now, and it essentially gave the opponent Truant.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
To be fair, there were ways that could be implemented without being close to broken. Missed hits don't count towards PP, runs off the same counter as protect and endure, etc. Amounts to *sort of* two hits (albeit non consecutive, depending) per turn, and increased leftovers/toxic damage. Easier to pull off boosting moves. But with that signature move and that typing, Hoopa will need all the help it can get.
Volcanion's signature move can go suck a lemon > nobody wants a stronger scald!!!

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
I think magic rocks may just be Kalos's thing? I remember an NPC explicitly stating that there are a shitton of magic rocks in Kalos.
Also, this is the first I've heard of the OSTs of the Pokemon games being sold. I'd super tempted to pop some major tags now, but for my extreme aversion to paying money for things.
Note: not gonna steal them, though. I don't need them that badly.

Where have you been? The XY soundtrack went up a month after the games' release, and we saw the FRLG and HGSS soundtracks in December and January, respectively.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
I only started checking the News Discussion and Game Discussion threads recently. Due to, you know, not having played the game yet?
I still haven't beaten it of course, but somehow I've managed to avoid most spoilers about the plot.

Hey, give 'em a break. I only beat the last gym leader yesterday, and I've had X since the day after it came out! To be fair, I did have to take a month-long hiatus from playing at one point due to reasons, and I rarely get to actually play outside of the last two or so hours before going to bed, but still.

Dube I've been EV training and levelling like 3 fully-fledged teams, and I probably have hundreds in the national Dex right now. I can't just simply beat the game.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
On that note, a question for you guys:
You know how the initial part of the game was SOO long and you could really (and in fact had to) sink your teeth into it, unlike any other Pokemon game so far?
Would you be happier if, next game, the entire story had that kind of pacing, I.e really really long, or back to normal?
(Also I found some dittos so now I don't need magnemites or even zubats anymore, thanks guys trainin' Tangrowths at the moment)
