i don't think arceus is a god

i think it's an animal given godlike status through mythology

in fact that's basically what i think for all legendaries

Okay, most legendaries are more along the lines of lesser deities. Arceus isn't just supposed to be a god, it's supposed to be the God.

Unrelated to anything, do you think that now that Protean exists, Arceus deserves it as some sort of DW ability or similar? Yeah Multitype probably suits it better but it would be fun. Oh wait, this is the spoiler thread. Nvm, wrong thread.

I am 99% sure that Arceus being god is nothing you believe or not but a canon fact inside the Pokemon games. Hmm, actually more like 90% sure, I'm not that sure about any of the gen 4 stuff.

But I think saying that Arceus isn't THE god is like saying that Deoxys isn't from Space or that Mewtwo wasn't actually made in a lab from Mews DNA.

also i don't think arceus is ever given any godlike status except in the anima and manga, which we all know is bullshit anyway. all the game descriptions only say that it is a god in mythology
