A good water pokémon type nickname would be Charybdis or Scylla, with bonus points if they know whirlpool.

Been there. Except Scylla's my female hydreigon Nickname. Minus points for no whirlpool references, but it IS a multi headed monster.

That, err, isn't Hydra.
Which is also water themed.
And still appropriate.
Bit of a bullet dodged there, I think.

True but, hydreigon. It's like calling Feraligator "Alligator". Which isn't to say it's bad, of course.

But anyway I like Scylla for Hydreigon.

Oh good a thread for name ideas. Now I don't have to resort to mashing randomly at the touchscreen to choose a name that makes no sense. (ESCYINCH is probably not the greatest name in hindsight...)

Hmmm. Some cool name taken from a Mach speed fighter jet? Or maybe a notable pilot? Or Selachi but that doesn't have the right ring to it. Jaws is always appropriate, as is Snappy, Cruncher or Morton.

i don't see how noivern's resemblance ISN'T obvious. it's black with neon highlights/accents, it's got weird ornamentation, and it's BASED ON NOISE
