I'm pretty sure that a lot of people (myself included) have trouble thinking of nicknames for Pokemon, so I'm starting this thread. Feel free to ask for nickname ideas.

Buttclam is tempting. As is Butthermit. Or butthomer. Or ButtEinstein. Butt I probably shouldn't.

I actually do like hermit though, I may use either that or find another name that refers to it being a hermit. Maybe AnikiHermit, or AnikiShell. (Aniki being the japanese word for brother, so bro) Maybe even just Aniki. Thanks!

I'd probably use Einstein for a slowking, but I'll probably not mock the poor stupid anikishell.

So I'm having a hard time deciding on a nickname for my Torchic. I'm currently torn between Davesprite (both orange and feathery) and Sanders (i.e. Colonel Sanders, of KFC). I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Pokemon named after scientists who helped their fields!

Bunsen! For a fire type!
Turing! For a smart or computery Mon! Or Ada or Lovelace if a more feminine version is preferred!
Dawkins or Darwin for a butterfree or similar Pokemon would be rather tongue-in-cheek...
Joules is a rather obvious one, but it counts! (Electric type)
Gorrie for a fun-sounding Ice type.

torchic can totally be Roy. +kudos if you know what i'm referencing. no, not fire emblem.
or DeathCucco. because every loz player should know not to mess with cuccos.
there are probably many references i could use, but i'm drawing a blank for chicken characters.

i have yet to think up a good name for my miltank. any even slightly notable game characters/enemies based off of cows?
preferably ones that have decent names, not like, Mr. Steak or something.

There's always Lon Lon Ranch, you could name it Malon

Also SHIT I had a pretty clever Fire type one and I've forgotten it and AI don't want to Google it! It's the unit term for the level of 'heat' or Spiciness. Scobert? Flabesomething? Scol... Nope, gone
