A thread about the scp foundation
I thought this needed to be made. Here you go.
Fair warning if you've never heard of it, it's a horror fiction site about a fictional government agency who secures, contains, and protects "anomalies," or paranormal objects. The writing is done in the form of "case files" for each object. There are over 2000 individual files, and the vast majority of them are absolutely horrifying. No, seriously. This isn't "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark." This is seriously fucked up stuff. Actual warning for pretty much every trigger ever.
That said, these are fun as all hell to write. I don't write them for the site, but it's a thing i do for fun. Often I take a character from something i like and write about them SCP-style. Ive done it for several Homestuck characters, some Pokemon, and some various SSB related things. Also the Kurain Channeling Technique, although that one wasn't very good.
Discuss away.

SCP-087 is the scariest damn thing I've read. Always paranoid that the image on that page was a gif as well. Otherwise the site is great, I had a period in my first year of uni where I'd just stay up all night reading creepy stories, and SCP was a great source of that.

There's one, i think it's 700, where an image farther down the page of a painted face on a wall is a gif, and it just looks at you for a half-second.
The best one for paranoia, though, is the Locked Box. I don't really remember the number, but it's terrifying.

One that sticks out in my mind is a fortune telling machine, like from the movie Big, except instead of granting wishes in dubious manners, it blames you for the mistakes you've made in life and sends wraiths to kill you. Even a team of gunmen couldn't bring the things down.
Also SCP-835. The only one to have an option to view the expunged data, and it ain't pretty.

Re: A thread about the scp foundation
- If youre actually going to do this theres some of them youve got to read first:
SCP-173. The original.
SCP-682. Make sure you read the attempted termination logs.
SCP-914. This is a massive piece of work, but every single bit of it is either terrifying or hilarious.
SCP-231. Absolutely mandatory. Major rape tw though.
SCP-343. God.
SCP-882. One of the highest rated articles on the site.
SCP-106. Probably the most "standard horror fare" monster on here. Still horrific though. Warning for the picture.
SCP-239. Reality warping eight-year-old.
SCP-579. It's something, alright.
SCP-055. In my opinion the most terrifying thing on the site.
SCP-902. This is the Locked Box one I was talking about.
SCP-294. Read the whole experiment log. You won't be disappointed.
SCP-076 and SCP-073. No description necessary, just read 'em.
black white black white black white black white black white gray. No words.
Duke 'til Dawn. Quite simply the funniest fucking thing on the site.
Incident 239-B: Clef-Kondraki. Alternates between horrifying, heartwarming, and hilarious at the drop of a hat. Bonus points for Dr. Gears being the best.
The last three are tales, just search for 'em.

Well, I read the "end of the world" canon/tales and the related SCPs as well as some others, lets see which of the ones in your list I am still missing
- List:
- SCP-173. Yes
SCP-682. Yes and yes, I did read the logs.
SCP-914. I did and I don't see what about this is supposedly scary...
SCP-231. Yes
SCP-343. Yes
SCP-882. Yes
SCP-106. I have not read that yet, I will after I made this post
SCP-239.I don't think I read that yet, I will after I made this postI reread it and noticed that I had already read it.
SCP-579. I have not read it yet, but I will after I made this post
SCP-055. I don't know ( ) that one yet, I'll read it after the post.
SCP-902. Have not read that yet, will later
SCP-294. THIS ONE I have read and I loved it.
SCP-076 and SCP-073. I read those two, too
black white black white black white black white black white gray. Not yet.
Duke 'til Dawn. Not yet either.
Incident 239-B: Clef-Kondraki. Not yet either.
Also, I personally suggest reading the "The Way The World Ends" stories and all associated SCPs, they are quite interessting.
Also, you should have meantioned SCP-963 seperatly, I know, if you read the logs from 682 you'll come across it but I still feel it needs to be meantioned seperatly.
EDIT:
I have read all the meantioned SCPs now and I will probably read the stories later.

Kochanski? Do you mean Kondraki? As far as I know he's still alive.

Re: A thread about the scp foundation
I think they say in their rules that their "canon" is very flexible, so just because a person dies in one story...
