sigh idk if this will be my first and only visit here, but hey. so basically, as im sure youre all mostly aware, im on the quarantine skype chat, and because thats far, far easier to get notifications from, i spend like all my time there, and i always forget about this place. which sucks, and im sorry.
life is good! im currently studying animation & visuals effect at university, with aims to be either a games designer of some sort or to work in animation. ideal scenario would be to be a freelancer doing both of these things and more, but hey, we shall see where life takes me. i still have a coupla years before graduation anyway, so i got time
over the summer as i have for the past two years i am working as a lifeguard, which i gradually get more and more sick of as the season progresses. its nearly all over though, so theres a positive at least. and hey, my birthdays soon and im finally getting a wii u and spaltoon (you wont have seen my VERY exhuberant shouts about splatoon for ages now but trust me. i want that game more than anything right now. yeah, even mystery dungeon. wait idk if i can do that to pmd. i take it back i want psmd more
im working on a buncha projects as always, but also as always, few of em every get anywhere. sburbmon is at least still going strong (hey muffinz, forgot you hung out here sometimes), and im graudally putting gears into motion for creating a pokemon fangame. hopefully. not sure if thatll be another thing i lose interest in very quickly. i still have some stories like saviours that i want to tell but theyre very much in the background atm. my artwork is improving drastically though, so im very happy about that
besides that, im still fond of awkward teenage dick chickens, so dont think thats changed. like i said, not sure if ill come back after this post, but i hope i do. you guys are really really cool and i miss talking to you
(post quoted in case anybody wanted to read it)
hey cap! it's good to see you. sounds like you're going pretty well. sorry i haven't been on the skype chat/sburbmon very much, but soon i'll be done with high school and ready to come back. good luck with university and your life guard job, and i hope you have a good birthday if you don't check here between now and then.

Re: 'bituaries: The "I'm not dead" thread!
Ahoy hoy, I'm still around! Lot's of things kept me away.
FIRSTLY, I became a father in january 2014, which was didn't affect anything here at first but then the little person got mobile and started trying to eat my technology, so it was difficult to use for a while and writing on my tablet is nightmare. I also: started my first job midway through 2015, so that's kept me busy, I got married, and finally i got another little person 2 weeks ago. But I started missing everyone here, so hi, 'sup? It's going to be a nightmare to catch up on everything.

Holy. That's a lot of stuff to take in. Uh, wow! Tinning for Best Reasons Not To Visit A Forum award 2014-2016!
Not sure if you mentioned having a youngin' the first time around, so if you did and we didn't say anything, congratulations! On the first bb, and the job, and the marriage, and then the other bb, and all the other stuff that presumably happened between all those things, sometimes maybe more than once. Wow that is a lot of stuff. FUCK, your life is so much more checked off than mine! "Have job", check. "Have car", check. Aaaand that's it! Anyway congrats again. Checking random forums is honestly a pretty lame priority to have so if you ever feel the need to just forget it exists don't feel bad about it :V

Yeah seeing it all up there, it's hard to believe that all happened in 1 year, give or take several months. It's definatly been more eventful than the first 21 years of not doing anything interesting!
I actually didn't mention it, I'm not all that great announcing stuff like that, so I should actually apologise to you all for not mentioning it in the first place!
I don't have a car, but I am working on it. I have a doggie though.

congratulations are in order to you and the missus, tinning! to be totally honest though if i don't know what you look like, i tend to image you as your avatar, so now i'm half-imagining some very small irish slowbrobeedrills running around trying to eat the larger one's cell phone

I think Tinning is British! I think. It tends to be 50/50 odds when you're from Northern Ireland, so sorry if I got that wrong Tinning Don't want to shoehorn you into a nationality you feel you don't belong to y'know?

Ah! Okay then. I know it can be a point of contention that some people from the north identify as British, or Irish, or both. It's nice to know!

oh man i am so glad that the reason i'm not around is because i have to tend to human larvae. i'm sorry tin man. but i guess the silver lining is that you can't make human larvae without getting laid, so congrats on getting laid?
in other words, i am no longer dead; nor am i a TRUE ADULT. i just do things that you would expect someone in their late 20s to do

i mean
you can also do what i did, which was get laid without the part involving human larvae. the months afterward are generally more enjoyable.

i'm going to assume that by "weird dick talk" you mean "is pretty open when he talks about sex, in contrast to most people." sorry if talking about sex makes you feel uncomfortable. honestly though, the older i get, the less it makes sense to me that sex talk makes most people uncomfortable. i get that one perspective is the religious thing, and that modesty and covering up and shame and all. but copulation is a thing that people do, like eating or pooping, and it's natural.
i dunno. maybe the more comfortable people are talking about sex, the better. at least in my opinion.

Re: 'bituaries: The "I'm not dead" thread!
I'm the same! Well, not about sex I guess, I'm kind of a prude when it comes to my *personal* relationship with the whole thing. But speaking in generalities is fine and I don't find any stigma in speaking frankly about it, unless, idk, there's kids around (because kids are idiots) or unless YOU are an idiot (because idiots say dumb things). But in general I've definitely found the best way to break down a taboo or stigma is just to talk about it more often. Make it normal. Sex is... a really really normal thing. Way more normal than, like, the economy. Not as normal as eating or breathing, but pretty goddamn normal.
And also fascinatingly kinky sometimes. But also normal.
...I think iT may have been referring to the time, I think I had it quoted somewhere, you were gonna detach your penis and use it as some sort of barb like a sea animal. I think that was it. The quote is definitely around SOMEWHERE. It qualifies as weird dick talk :V

you know, on that topic, it's sorta weird... i'm an asexual who's grossed out by overtly sexual stuff and right now i'd never consider having sex myself, but because of that i feel like i'm sort of less weirded out when people talk about it?
it'd be like if everyone was talking about about butts and pooping for a while, and i had no butt and no biological need to poop. i wouldn't have the same "that's gross" reaction as a person with a butt would because i wouldn't have any personal context towards the concept of poop.
...that analogy sounded less weird and dumb in my head.

Re: 'bituaries: The "I'm not dead" thread!
no, i get it. i think?
regardless (and carrying on with your analogy), that people talking about pooping isn't an issue. it's when someone gets really super graphic like fingerpainting with the poop that it goes into the gross territory.
that being said, i think i dance along that tmi/too graphic sex borderline sometimes. part of it is to elicit a reaction out of some of the more prudish members, and part of it is just because i'm open about sex and sexual acts. i wouldn't have problems discussing the natures of past sexual escapades, though i'd leave the who/where specifics out. but like.... positions and foreplay? i don't see as much of a problem discussing what's worked in the past in a "this is my experience" discussion.
