Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
how on earth are you guys taking so long?!? i mean, i was mostly rushing through the main story mode so i can get postgame stuff and restart, but i did take bit of time out to explore, and i was only at 25-35-ish hours when i beat the E4.
even on a casual run, i don't see myself taking more than 55 hours on the main game.
i'm at 42 hours now, btw

EV training, catching the crap out of Pokemon on every route, growin' my berries...
Yeah I don't know why this is taking so long either.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
I don't use Fly and spend a lot of time with Pokemon-amie, Battle Chateau, Super Training, exploring, Lumiose stuff, paying attention to the story, pokemon naming.
Seriously, I usually spend like 5 minutes average on that screen. I know that song by heart now.
Also, I want to beat my 100 hours record from BW2.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
i didn't start using Fly until post-game. i spend a long time naming things too, but it didn't matter much this time since i caught so few things. my natdex only has 41, a decent amont of those from the friend zone, ahaha,,,
haha.
i maxed out my time in B/W several months ago.
hahaahaha...
only 2/3 of that is actual play time though.
but i do have around 350 legit hours in HG.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
time spent playing is no indication of how good or bad you are at the game
unless if it is like 300 hours and you havent gotten a single badge yet then you suck

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
i don't think anyone was implying time/badges= skill level

Okay yeah, I'd be happy receiving a Spinda.
I guess I'll join the Secret Santa this time, but don't expect anything of quality from me.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
At the very least, it'll be a lot more feasible for all of us to EV train our gifts, what with Super Training and Horde Battles. Now, would we want to wait for Pokémon Bank so we have more options for gifts, or are we fine sticking with what's available right now?

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
YES I am SO UP for another secret Santa! Given breeding nowadays I'd even do two gifts! I know what I want to give already and everything!
Note: It's pretty shitty to be honest. Not completely outclassed, just really frail. But cool, though! And a gift you'll remember.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Don't worry OJ, as soon as you get WiFi we'll figure something out back in gen 5. Stats won't be as awesome though...
So what's the deal with that anyway? Germany's Europe's economic hub. Where's the decent WiFi? It's not good here but that's because we're too small to warrant fast internet speeds. Waste of business effort. No comprendo :0

I'm all up for another secret santa! I'm currently working on a little breeding project so if I can get this done in time and just hatch one extra and train...

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Well, the problem is more that I have the DS and not the DSi, so apparently, not all Wi-Fi works.d_what wrote:Don't worry OJ, as soon as you get WiFi we'll figure something out back in gen 5. Stats won't be as awesome though...

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
isn't there something on the internet that lets you create a wireless access point from ethernet
i distinctly remember that coming up at one point

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Connectify? If I recall correctly, OJ has no idea if his computer has a wireless card, and even if he did, the free version only lets you do WPA encryption, so it's still useless for him.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
So what we need to do is, somehow upgrade his DS to a DSi. Or a 3DS if he's done all his 3-upping. Hmmm... How would one go about such a feat?
Best case scenario is a 2DS falls neatly from the sky so he has 2 systems and can then go from gen 4 to gen 5.
Wow bank is going to make life so much easier in the long term.

Re: General chat: Who needs mspaf anyway
Wait, IS there a way to upgrade a DS to a DSi?
Also, I've actually been looking on ebay for some used 3DS just in case. But even the cheapest still cost about 100$ (including shipping) and it would take quite a while for them to get delivered...
