It logs on automatically for me too. Except when it doesn't for some reason, which is usually whenever Chrome closed (not that it's a problem most of the time).

I am usually logged in :/ even at work. Not that that matters because at the time when I'm most likely to log in, there's only about 2 people on. Including myself and lurkers.
