Well actually this is also kind of an almost-good thing as well
You see, that Nuzlocke run was on hold for a few months there and I hadn't been properly keeping up with my note-taking beforehand
When I got around to making the comic for it on the Nuzlocke Forums, I'd have no idea what to do with, for instance, the Ramos battle
And there are some gameplay-related things that happened that I kind of wish weren't the happenings that happened? Like for example, I picked Tyrunt for my fossil and used him as a member of my team (the plan was to give him the same personality as T-rex from Dinosaur Comics), but I actually really don't like drawing Tyrunt and I have no idea how to properly write him and have it sound in-character
And the first death happened in the Tierno/Trevor double battle on route 7, but I have no idea how I was going to write that in, because seriously, either of those two letting their pokèmon kill one of mine would absolutely not fit in the story
And some routes gave me pokèmon that I kind of wish I didn't get, and I missed out on a lot of awesome stuff

Besides, it's not like I have to start entirely from scratch! I can keep all the plot ideas I had in development, and if I catch any of the same pokèmon on my second time through I can just have them be exactly the same character they were going to be before they got deleted!

Still, sad about stuff like the shiniesand the older mons. And how the heck did it get corrupted, what if it happens again?

Apparently it's usually caused by "turning off the game or removing the cart while saving" or by "dirt or dust interfering with the game cart, especially while saving", but neither of those happened as far as I know. The last time I played the game pre-corruption, the game did shut off suddenly thanks to the cartridge popping out partially, but I wasn't saving at the time. I mean, I was connected to the bottom-screen-internet thing at the time, but it's not like the game is saving constantly while connected to it, right?

Huh.

Man, I wish you could have, like, backup saves, that way you wouldn't need to start over...

I was literally just playing the game and the screen went black and said an error has occurred and I turned it off and back on and now it's corrupted again.

I guess this cartridge is just defective??? ughhhhhhh

do you think evil demons of corruption would prefer an aerobic workout or a core strength one?

Actually, if it is a problem with the game, could you get some kind of customer service to fix it?

sounds like a good time to suggest a gradual change over to digital media. as much as i hate the fact that i pay the same price but don't get any physical proof that i have paid for the game, it's much more convenient.

Yeah but Hanky that doesn't work when it comes to Nintendo products, especially Pokemon  There's no backups! Your game is tied to your system unless you move it, and that's BEFORE you lose/break it. It really does suck. I get that they're afraid of piracy and I suppose cloning, but cloning is not that much of a problem anyway since the clones are at least typically legit and piracy isn't even that big of a problem when it comes to Nintendo products now? You still have to buy the console, players are typically fans, some piracy actually helps the market, and it's not like the 3DS has even been properly hacked yet...

Ugh. Physical copy all the way until they get their act together. Muffinz, it seriously stinks that that's happening, have you tried emailing support? When I was trying to get Bank moved to a new account (they couldn't, but I found my 3DS in the end so that was okay) they did respond pretty quickly, and adding "actual response please and not an automated one" is helpful sometimes. There might be a cart repair center/kit you can send it to/buy.

Edit: P.S if I had access to this site's CSS I'd make celebratory Pachirisu/Omanyte skins. 2014 has been a pretty great year for Pokemon. And probably a Greninja/Smash skin too. With an ORAS one later. Go Se Jun Park wooh!

also that suggestion for digital is roughly half sarcasm. all things considered, i think those 3DS game carts are basically SD cards in and of themselves. maybe a change in how the data is read, but basically the same. like ps vita memory cards. they're basically pared down SD cards. sony is a c*** for doing that. i know it actually IS to fight piracy, considering that psp games were some of the most widely pirated console games in recent memory. but it's still shitty.

Okay, so. Simic Guildmage, yes. Kalonian Hydra, yes. Elvish aberration? You're playing green. Just throw in a wood elves and a couple ramp spells. that's the best way to go, anyway.

HP's changes:

looks good, for the most part. i'd include a board wipe like plague boiler or pernicious deed or even damnation or something. life's finale, maybe. and a little more targeted removal. hero's downfall, krosan grip, maelstrom pulse. not much, but enough to get by. bramblecrush can stop planeswalkers. i think if you take out everything i suggested to take out, you'll be sitting on about 53 nonlands? add deadbridge chant, too. maybe throw in lumberknot because it'll get difficult to deal with.
