The only thing that makes me doubtful is that I can't see anything that looks like a MS on Phoebe. But maybe she's not getting one since she gets a Dusknoir?

Well, she's hardly wearing anything. But it could be an earring, a toe ring, a clasp, anything that we can't see.

And as much as I hate to admit it... it really does look like one. There are two blurry vertical lines that look pretty similar to the DNA symbol... Hmhmhmhmmm.

Alternatively. We can deduce that Siebold has a mega Blastoise if only from the Anime special; why introduce him at all unless there was some vestige of truth in him? We also know that teams of E4 and gym leaders can change post-game, and that they sometimes become rebattleable outside of their respective areas. So. What if... All the E4 DO have Mega Stones, and merely don't use them until Post game? This makes a lot of sense flavour-wise, and gives them a much broader and more impressive range of Pokemon. (Phoebe and Glacia can't BOTH use Frosslass.) I would definitely say this applies to the Kalos E4 too; I didn't expect them to use Megas after it was clear next to nobody was; but I do during the remake/next game because by then it should become a standard (plus sequels are typically slightly harder anyway).

That is a pretty grest idea, like, in the post game, Steven Stone (was that his english or his german name, I need to look that up) gives them all megastones, that could fit nicely, hmm...

There were some pretty clear RSE references in Gen 4 and 5, including even stuff about Team Magma and Aqua which is tied to the game's plot no matter what
And XY have some pretty clear references to Gen 4 and 5 stuff
Previously the most agreed-upon thing was Gen 1 and 3 >3 years> Gen 2 and 4 >long time> BW >2 years> BW2 >some time> XY
But now this'd put Gen 3 up next to X and Y
Which in turn moves Gen 4 and BW(2) as well
So...
I guess the best way to make this work is
Gen 1 >3 years> Gen 2 >some time> XY >some time> Gen 3 >some time> Gen 4 >long time?> BW >2 years> BW2
because clearly the timeline of Pokémon is the most important subject

In fact, back in May, the day ORAS was announced, Toshinobu Matsumiya (Key member of Game Freak) confirmed that the official timeline is this:


ORAS Hoenn having Megastones is exactly the same situation as Eggs were back in Gen 3. Hoenn had eggs 3 years before they were suddenly discovered by Elm.
Or that there were 151 pokemon IN THE WORLD in Gen I.

That makes sort of sense, think about it, if Steven Stone discovers the Megastones, it must have been long before X and Y and it makes sense that most people in Kalos don't know about something that has been discovered far away. Heck, it's more weird that they have a huge tower about something that supposedly almost noone knows about.

Hmmm. So I suppose we can deduce that red won't be in this game; he's busy. And having the PWT would be really weird.

The fan theories were mostly right then! Only X and Y takes place at the same time as BW2.
In that case... I'm betting Z or whatever is gonna be after XY then, which does mean we could have another World Tournament by then.
The fact Brendan and May are now canonically one of the first people to use Megastones is weird to think about though.

If Z comes after XY, then idk, but I feel like another region if a definitely more likely prospect. I can't remember my reasoning now though. Damn, I literally had it like two seconds ago.

I really doubt Z's going to be either a sequel or a new region. And honestly, X and Y could use the improvement.

Also the thing that really makes me think it's gonna be a sequel/two versions for a new region is the fact we have two secret signature moves for Zygarde. That's like, the dealbreaker. I can't see both being in the same game.

mannn, the east coast is like three hours ahead of the west, right? there's no way i'm gonna be able to get up at 10:00 for this. which is a shame since i was kind of hoping that maybe one of these days i'd get to actually watch a reveal instead of finding out about it second-hand.

Yeah Shulk is a lot more interesting than, say, Chrom. Though you'd wonder why Isaac isn't a thing?

I still wish the wonderful 101 had had some representation since Bayonetta is an outlier chance (not being particularly appropriate for the theme, though, snake...) but alas we already know they won't. They were shown as trophies a while ago.
