My final smash, being one of the "cutscene" ones, is definitely v fixed. Prolly around 40% damage? That's about what Megaman's does anyways 80

P proud of my moves tho! I feel like they're all creative (enough at least 80) and like how their mechanics work. I'd totally play me. :0

also BAM I did the thing

Hey Hanky? Minor thread tangent here. But do you think that as we progress through the threads, we could start keeping a record of stuff in the OP? Nothing serious or intensive, just stuff that someone thinks is worth keeping easily accessed and therefore worth, say, a nomination. So we can have a spoiler in the first post in every thread about the things that got us really involved, and in future days we can look back and reminisce. Man that is a weird looking word. Reminisce. Doesn't it look like I misspelled it? God knows I wish we'd done that before; navigating for a specific LOL through 50 pages of anything is tough, especially when you don't know which 50 you should be looking in.

Nomination for a collective list of all our smashes once everyone's finished?

Yeah as much as I enjoy stuff like this, I probably don't know enough about Smash to do this.

Why don't we make a separate thread and I'll edit the OP with all the smash lists in there?

NN, what exactly is that post your roster thing even for? What are you supposed to do with it???

iT trips on his shoelaces and falls into battle!!:

Sorry for all the fencing lingo haha. Five is the head, Two is the waist, Three is your right, Four is your left. All the rest are sort of self explanatory or googleable.

Welp, we have our first official swordsman. Apparently, iT Fences. I did not know this. But if it was ME I wouldn't be able to resist the pun and my down special would steal and redistribute all items near me. I'd be a fencing fence. Damn. The word has lost all meaning. But YES THAT IS A LOT OF FENCING INFORMATION yeesh also you forgot your final smash! ((mine would involve an actual picket fence. For bonus punnery I would be Picketing. While on the fence.))

BTW I had assumed that if any characters would be playable in this it'd be ourselves before the actual roster. Super Quarantine Bros/Sisters/Non Binary Individuals, sorta thing. So... where are our taunts mspa I'm pretty sure I'd be more likely to fight you than Pichu is!

Cool, that roster link lets me see all the alt costumes I haven't seen yet. OHH HEY I did not know fierce diety link was in smash! That's awesome, majora's mask represent!

Also Lucina's last costume looks like sumia from fire emblem awakening. Considering I've actually used her quite a lot in my latest save game and still had to use google because I couldn't remember her name, I doubt I'll use that costume much.

TINMAN FUMBLES HIS WAY INTO YO HEARTS:
It took me way longer to create this than it should have. I need to practice writing and thinking and using that imagination stuff I used to have. Fun though! Hope it fits, and isn't OP/ UP.

ohmg I actually cackled aloud hahah!! that was golden, seriously great joke. I'm STILL laughing about it. Actually, I'm a sucker for silly words that end in Y. Diety counts!

I think it could work, though don't worry about specific time needed for the moves. Just work with "long time" or "shortish time" and our imaginations will do most of the work; it's not like we're coding anything. The fixed knockback thing is cool - are there any items/moves ingame that already have a fixed knockback? I can't think of any, but then it's not really the kind of thing you notice. Also, where did you get the idea for the staff it's more out of the blue than iT's sudden ability to fence!

((before anyone asks I posted images of my favourite (second favourite??) scythe December months and months ago, it has a precedent))

Oh whoops, i before e, remember? Therefore I = right. It's not a stupid mistake to make, no sirreebob. Yeah I actually laughed too, after I finally got what you meant

Yeah the staff is pretty random, but I thought if your gimmick is the need for timing attacks to deal damage, some reach is necessary to make it sorta bearable and give a little margin of error. Coulda used a sword, but how would a sword not be pretty strong in it's own right? A staff is believeably weaker compare to what some of the smash roster wield, yet the addition of a crystal that increases strength via focus also makes it believebly stronger.

Did you post december in the art thread? It does sound familiar.

Man, this demo is pretty fun. I actually like playing as all the characters in it, and it's got just enough content to keep you engaged for a while while still keeping you exited for all the features of the full game.

I might try making a moveset for myself later! But not right this second.

IIRC one of Megaman's custom specials has fixed knockback

Also, since... I guess IT has a fencing sword, Dee a scythe, Tintin a staff and HP prolly a hammer... I guess I should clarify I'd probably be the "unusual" fighter using just. punches. and accidents. Maybe throwing stuff.

...i think everybody here can see why I like playing Villager now.

ALSO I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS CHARAHUB SITE I AM GONNA MAKE ONE FOR MYSELF AS SOON AS I CAN BECAUSE THAT IS REALYL COOL

Is that a thing people do?

Who counts as a OC? Any character I ever came up with or only "main" characters

Because I probably have, like, at least ten universes and easily more thenten characters per universe

I mean, that one has a selkie family (6 people), three agents, three superheros, three archons, two sirens, two undead, a vampire, a cult leader, a witch, an omnipotent being and a regular human. And that's not even counting the atleast three mermaids and the members of that holy order. Yeah, obviously not all of these characters are main characters, heck, many aren't even named, but still, that is just one of my many worlds.

Sort of ninja'd:
Those look awesome D

I like playing as Villager too! They're probably my favorite of the five characters in the demo just because of how unusual they are. Those neutral and down specials are just so different from anything any other character has had, and their projectile-heavy regular attacks (especially those projectiles-that-don't-act-like-projectiles side smash and dash attack) are so interesting and fun to use. I almost wish their recovery wasn't so good, though, 'cause it honestly feels pretty overpowered at times.

I do not mind the Balloon Fight at all. Villager can still be KO'd pretty easily since he's so light after all... :0

Also since I just remembered it I might use a boomerang for certain moves as well just because I love the idea of boomerangs as weapons

EDIT: YO LOOK I DID IT I DID THE CHARAHUB THING. THERE ARE STILL MORE CHARACTERS BUT THESE ARE THE MAIN FIVE SO HERE YOU GOOOOO TAKE A LOOK AT 'EM

Neato, Spark! Boomerangs are cool but your moveset is already basically perfect, I wouldn't trade Boomerangs for any of it. You should ask Dan if he'd draw a (vaguely Mii-Esque) Smash version of you! Y'know, for consistency.

Where are all the ladies with their smashes c'mon people we need some gender representation here :O

Hmm. You know, there's an awful lot more we could do on this topic. I'm not gonna get into it now, because it'll derail it too much (we should save it for when all the moves are in) but... Stages. Assists. Items. Both general and person-specific. Again, NOT gonna get into it now, but... I foresee a lot of Sharpedo in our future.

I am currently trying to lern a bit more about the mechanics of smash, once I did that I'll give more informations about me. I think I'll keep my current moves though, maybe I'll include useful custom variations of them.
