Ye Megagross. He looks cool at least. I'm hoping for some Souped up Speed, Attack and Defence. Especially the Speed. He LOOKS speedier, and kinda needs it. Although Sucker Punch will still hurt.

The scans also apparently say that there are more Pokemon than before. Whilst this probably just refers to the new evos of gen 3 'mon (ie Budew and Roserade) that have been made since gen 3 along with some new Pokemon from newer gens perhaps, I'm personally hoping (almost definitely foolishly so) that we may get some brand new Pokemon. Patches are now a thing , so new Pokemon mid gen are a possibility, and it might be nice to get a few for ORAS. If we do get them I'm expecting them more in Pokemon Z/X^2Y^2/XZYZ/Whatever its called instead though, so idk.

Also Dee guess what! We finally get that Mega Charizard event. Yayyyy, I can run Megazard Y now!

That said, I like Megagross. Also, I doubt we'll get brand new pokemons. We're getting new Megas, I think that's what they mean.

Captain I'm not in the UK, I'm pretty sure I've been through this with you a few times already D: We don't have Game here. Haven't had it in years. Tinning might get it though. Because he *is* in the UK. Please don't make me bring out the maps ;_;

I would hazard that I didn't see MegaGross coming, if only because I'm very, very cautious about what I can imagine happening in any given game. I don't mind though, Metagross needs the boost (though a stronger Attack, Tough Claws boosted STAB Bullet Punch is a little scary. But then most megas are a little scary???).

I just hope there isn't a Mega Salamence. Dragonite and Hydreigon and Salamence should form their own little "pseudo legends who don't want megas" club. I'm just naturally averse to anything that boosts Pseudo Legends too much; they've already got the limelight by default, why give them any more? If you told me Mega Garchomp would stop existing tomorrow I really wouldn't care.

And more specifically, Salamence doesn't need a boost. YES he's dropped in viability but only because of the fierce competition and power creep, and giving it a mega is not a way to circumvent that; it increases it. It'd be the opposite of what Game Freak wanted to set out to do in gen 6 and just pander to fanboyism. Salamence is really cool in BL/UU anyway, and usable in OU, we have enough dragons (and flying types) as it stands already, okay?

(I was hoping the "more Pokemon" referred to XY's massive amount of Pokemon per route system. Because it's gonna be hard coming back from that, isn't it?)

There's a Charizard event for the Charizardite you don't normally get in your game. Can't remember is USA/Rest of Europe has had it yet, but we're getting it here in the UK.

And sorry Dee, I keep forgetting you're Southern Ireland (or as it actually is, just Ireland).

Only Japan's had the event so far. And I'm excited for Mega Metagross, since Metagross is awesome and it definitely needed the boost after gaining two new weaknesses. Another plus: we know that they're not actually showing more favoritism to Megazard X by giving it to Steven like we feared. I doubt we're going to see never-before-seen Pokémon in ORAS; it's almost definitely just going to be Gen IV+ evolutions/preevolutions and whatever other Pokémon they want to supplement the Hoenn Dex with.

Yeah uh Capn sorry but. There are literally no chances of brand-new Pokémon in ORAS. In X2Y2, if it really is another region? Definitely, that's a possibility! But in ORAS, nnnnope. It's probably just a bigger variety of Pokémon to be more comparable to X and Y, as Dee said.

It's more like... if you wanted to show off competitive Pokemon to someone who wasn't sure if they thought Pokemon could be played as anything else but a kids game, i.e lots of clever strategy and interesting moves, that was.... Guy does well. Guy does well. Guy does well. Guy is winning. Shit happens: Guy loses. Hardly a compelling narrative. And it's the same on the opponent's side: Guy gets hit. Guy does poorly. But I'll be pretty pissed if it's just Pikachu (even though it most likely is going to be) because favoritism. Just thinking back on the revamped Pikachu cry in X and Y, and now this...

Do you think it's just ONE Pikachu, or any Pikachu? Or any female Pikachu? Do you think they'll have different quirks in battle (e.g. Electric/Rock|Fight|Fairy|Psychic|Something)? I love it so much. But, umm, octi... Favouritism... does that really apply to Pikachu? I mean... it's Pikachu. In any case, Pikachu didn't get a Mega (suck it Rai) so it's almost fair. Plus you can't feasibly give every Pokemon outfits. I'm not sure if you know (many don't) but 3D modelling is very difficult. Likewise, Captain: All of the outfits seem sculpted to Pikachu's form, so I doubt these will be on other (or at least not many other) Pokemon. Something like a Bow, maybe; something that can be affixed to a Pokemon regardless of body shape would be easy enough to implement.

Yeah, I figured it would be way too much work to give every Pokemon outfits, but sometimes I feel like Pikachu gets a bit too much special treatment.

It's kind of like Furfrou--it looks pretty cool when they reveal it but since I don't use Furfrou I never really see the customization features; same with Pikachu now.

If Pikachu gets stat boosts or abilities/typing etc then it might be usable in battle, like the Rotom Formes? Stranger things have happened. Unless they're items... Pikachu's probably gonna want its items. At the very least they'll be usable in Contests... I wonder if they'll be kept in future games? You know, so they're not like Spiky Eared Pichu.

I feel you Captain... but nah, it looks very unfeasible to be every pokemon. At least at this point it seems like that. Maybe they will also do the starters, but definitely not every pokemon.
Also, yay, amie returns. That means that PSS in general has a really good chance to be completely back.

Anyway, let's talk about the new Pokedex. It looks like a GBA, no? Really neat design choice.
