Out of the 48 hours that comprise Saturday and Sunday, I've already spent 24 of them at work all alone in a guard shack that no one visits. So. Many hours spent breeding and training.

so i'm running around in the safari zone catching stuff two-by-two to evolve for the dex whilst waiting for my class to start. professor walks in, so i take off myheadphones and continue while he gets ready.
he calls my name; i raise my hand and take the paper he's begun passing back

Holy crap that's amazing. I wish I had that kind of shiny luck, but so far the only shinies I've gotten have been either guaranteed, a gift, or through chain-fishing (to be fair, I did find one in Leaf Green, but I glitched up my game with an Action Replay and had to wipe the save. RIP sweet Nidoqueen).

i'd like to try chain-fishing for skrelp in my sister's Y, but the moves i want on dragalge are only obtainable by chain-breeding. siiiigh. i might just use two.

My Swablu was accidentally horded. I really wish I could find/breed a decently competitive shiny though, like Alakazam (<3) or Reuniclus, which looks awesome as a shiny...

Just make sure you're not half-asleep when you come across a shiny abra, lest you accidentally waste your master ball. >.>

actually hanky, it was probably not a terrible waste, seeing as abras are notorious for teleporting away on the first turn.

Well, the thing is that Abra's catch rate is high enough that the 5x boost from Quick ball is always successful.

Abra is basically the reason the Quick Ball was created in the first place.

But admittedly having a shiny of my favorite Pokemon in a Masterball would be pretty cool regardless of catch rates.
