Post your team!

All right, it's been a while since I last posted my bug team on the pokemon thread, may it rest in peace

KING

ability: Compoundeyes
- Stun Spore
- Sleep Powder
- Dream Eater
- Silverwind

King's name comes from monarch butterflies. A king is a monarch. Anyway, it's got dual status, and thanks to compoundeyes both stun spore and sleep powder are pretty damn accurate. It's also pretty fast, so it can put things to sleep quickly and then eat their dreams. Silverwind is just a STAB, but it's not that good since butterfree's special attack far outweighs its attack. I'm kinda just hoping for a super stat boost.

BEEZERKER

ability: Swarm
- Agility
- Focus Energy
- Rage
- Twinneedle

Named after a webcomic that I didn't read. He doesn't have necessarily the best attack, but that can be changed after a few Rage boosts. Focus Energy is for crits, which essentially have double the chance since Twinneedle hits twice in the same turn. Agility is just for speed, but I rarely need it.

MAXIS

ability: Effect Spore
- Spore
- Poisonpowder
- Cut
- Leech Life

Named Maxis because Spore. Parasect actually has really good attack, but I can't really take good advantage of that because Cut is currently my best attacking option. I think I'm gonna teach him Aerial Ace in place of Poisonpowder, though.

SHUFFLER

ability: Shield Dust
- Psychic
- Gust
- Giga Drain
- Supersonic

I'm not gonna lie; I have no fucking clue where this guy's name came from. He's my "special sweeper" even though he doesn't have any way to boost stats. Psychic is jsut a generally strong move, and Giga Drain is for coverage and recovery.

O' CHUNKS

ability: Hyper Cutter
- Strength
- Brick Break
- Revenge
- Guillotine

If you don't know who O' Chunks is, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Super Paper Mario. Pinsir is an all-around physical powerhouse, and he doesn't have the extra Fighting-type to give him extra weaknesses. Revenge is pretty powerful if I can time it right. Guillotine is strictly for emergencies.

I've always wanted to use a beedrill through a game. there's just so many better choices even just among the bug pokemon, and weedle doesn't learn bugbite until level 15, 5 levels after he should be beedrill

Every bug pokemon is good when you don't have anything actually good on your team to compare them too

Nah jk, there are good and bad members of my team. Parasect is the biggest dead weight, but not by a huge margin. It just doesn't have enough powerful moves, but that Spore sure gets the job done. Beedrill isn't that good either, mainly because it needs an attack boost before it can become a killing machine, and rage isn't that reliable. Pinsir is probably the best team member, with Shuffler in second place and Butterfree in third. Now that it has Dream Eater instead of Psybeam, Butterfree should be a lot deudlier.

If you were in the SS and I got you out of the hat I'd so train a butterfree :/ I was swept by one once on the online random matchups. It was... Embarrassing, especially since I knew exactly what to expect.

I thought this thread would be hopping by now, since everyone had a team. I guess not?

Also I realllllly want to know the type matchups for fairy. Because my Toxicroak is going to have so many movepool headaches if it turns out Fairy resists ice or something sure his Poison STAB might be super effective against fairy, but it's basically useless otherwise and I don't want to lose the coverage! Hypothetical decisions, decisions.

Well, I could post my teams but I don't really have any competitiv teams so I don't think they'd really fit in this thread...

That's not what this thread is for at all. This thread is for posting any team you want. Doesn't matter if it's a joke team or a srs team. If you want to show everybody your team, it goes here.

Yes they do. And the way to do it for me is that I can link two gen one games via my stadium on the Nintendo 64. And since you can probably tell from me saying that I'll post my Blue team later, I have more then one gen one game. So I can simply hook both games up with my N64 Pokemon Stadium game and go to Prof. Eichs Labor (Prof Oaks Laboratory I assume) where I can then trade between the two games. And yes, trade evolutions DO work with that, I know that for a fact. Because I've already done it in the past.

No drifblim didn't know Explosion and I don't even remember the gender of my Eelektross. I think it was a he, because I named it Moray. And Moray sounds masculine to me. I guess he's looking for a female companion? I don't know what he's searching for.

That is indeed what I am doing, because Google Chrome on ipad likes to refresh itself and it takes forever to do anything.
(As in, I'll go and copypaste the urls from bulbapedia, and the edit page will refresh itself and I have to go get all the urls again, etcetera etcetera.)

It's all my fault anyway, I suggested using subtext to PD and nownI can't stop seeing it anyway...

I wish I knew what the gen 6 metagame was like :/ or with the introduction of Megas, how stable/worth playing it is. Not being able to start on a gen 6 team KILLS me. Graaah. I suppose I could train a Gyarados, those are usually safe bets, but they rely so much on different egg moves... Or Absol only I wouldn't know where to start. Or even if it should have its hidden ability!
