You want a birthday present?
Go to my fakemon thread and describe to me whatever fakemon you want. I don't care what it is. I'll draw whatever you ask me to, no questions asked. I'll make base stats, movepools, pokedex entries, everything I make for a normal fakemon, including concept art and sprites. I don't care if it's a joke pokemon or if it's a srs suggestion. I'll make anything.
You have until midnight.
okay so for my birthday fakemon
i just
a platypus pokémon
nothing else about it matters for me, so long as its based on a platypus
youre completely free to make the rest up any way you want at all i just wanna see a platypus really

Re: Gelatino's fakemon
Why aren't there any platypus pokemon? You'd think it'd be a suitably bizarre enough real life animal to reference

Re: Gelatino's fakemon
Yeah but no beaver tail, Psyduck's more of a duck, really. No poison moves either, except one and that's by TM. If it is a platypus though, I'm sure an even more platypus-like pokemon has room in this adventure!

Sound good?
Yeah, the only thing I can think of is Poison/Normal or Poison/Water since Platypi eat underwater

Re: Gelatino's fakemon
But it has fingered hands and not wings. It may be named after a bird, and it may not be exactly a platypus, but it's closer to a platypus than to a bird.
But yeah, I guess it's unplatypus-y enough to justify making a platypus in this thing. I'm thinking maybe either a nidoran-style different-genders-are-considered-different-Pokèmon thing with only the males as poison-type, or make it male-only and poison-type. Since with real platypuses only the males are poisonous. I guess the type could be Poison/Water for the males and Normal/Water for the females that may or may not exist?
EDIT: Wow I got really ninja'd there. Hm.

Re: Gelatino's fakemon
For the sake of simplicity, I'll probably just make both genders poison, and maybe mention that the males have stronger poison than the females.
Re: Gelatino's fakemon
I'm currently working on art for Catric and Ampedo, the water/electrics I mentioned earlier. Here's some art from a while ago, while I'm making it:
The above design for Ampedo is pretty accurate, but Catric is gonna receive a massive overhaul.

Yeah ampedo is one of my favorite designs i've made. If I end up making a rom with all my pokemon, i'm definitely gonna use it on a team.
