Re: The Replay Thread
okay, everybody get ready for an epic series of battles between two masters of the ghost type.
battle 1
battle 2
battle 3
which mono ghost team will prevail? which master of the supernatural will inspire more fear and resign his opponent to complete doom? you'll just have to watch the battles to find out

- Spoiler:
- it seems really self-indulgent to post three battles in a row that i won, but hey, that's just how things turned out and i would have posted these anyway even if i lost. this is the first time i've met a fellow ghost wielder and it was truly an epic experience.

Uhhhh what? That was so weird.
But you know what, it was SO weird, that maybe it's better to assume that he just had to go and do something instead. That happens sometimes.

Re: The Replay Thread
the saddest ragequit in the history of ragequits
i don't like it when people ragequit. i never forfeit a match unless the opponent is using some ridiculous stall tactic where there is literally nothing i can do, and i tell them so on the chat before quitting so they understand. if a match is looking bad for me, or if i'm sure i'm about to lose, i just stick it out 'till the end to humor the opponent, because i would want them to do the same for me.

Re: The Replay Thread
Just built a new mono-electric team, and this is the first battle using it.
I deem this a huge success.
Volt Switching around just to fuck with your opponent is fun as hell. That gliscor gave me grief though.

WHAT THE HELL. Who in their right minds keeps a MINUS ATTACK, MINUS SPEED Mega Scizor in on a Mega Manectric?? Even a critical hit wouldn't have helped! Christ. Best of luck with the team iT, and congrats, but I don't think that person knew what they were doing.

Re: The Replay Thread
So, I made a team recently psuedo-recently. I made this team with the specific intention of having a full team consisting of as many Pokemon who were my absolute favourites for BOTH design and competitive usage in one team. I erred strongly on the design side though, bc my favourite Poemon tend to be mostly design-based. I made a pretty successful team, I think. I have some real ups and downs using it though. Sometimes it does brilliantly, other times I have this gigantic streak of losses. However, I believe I have finally got a good battle with which to show it off.
Note: The only Pokemon in this team whose design I don't adore (and who therefore isn't in like my top 10) is the Aerodactyl. Purely there bc I do actually need this team to be competitively viable.

Miraculous things happen sometimes.
It's RU. And yes, I got some hax, especially near the end.
But I think I've proven some sort of point.

Yeah, not so stally now, are we.
We had a rematch afterwards, and he took down Breloom pretty quick, but I brought out mega manectric, killed half his team, and he flipped out and forfeited.

Re: The Replay Thread
So I don't typically post battle vids, because I rarely think they're worth watching from someone who wasn't actually involved or on-site. But. Wow.
A Preface:
My preliminary summer team is ready. I'm not 100% happy with it; no phazing, no Iron Head on Excadrill, (ffs) too reliant on physical attackers and no room for a mega - but it's the best I can do without using tutors.
Practiced with it a lot today, and my online long-time friend Jack offered me a battle. Jack is fun to play because he uses competitive mindsets and strategies on more or less random or uncompetitive Pokemon; so if all I've prepared for is "The Meta" then Jack will cause a lot of problems, even if typically I have a strength advantage.
ZHZW WWWW WWW6 TQ3S
I would strongly recommend watching the battle sometime! It is a good example of using certain pokemon and how to handle/prepare for hax. (Hax IS an inherent part of the game - And luck goes to those who know how to leave room for it, as demonstrated!)
