i'll be using my ghost team, just in case other people want to do weird "gym leader" teams

i've been killing it in ou with this ghost team. and yeah, i've seen both blaziken and garchomp in ou teams (the ou list is still in beta) but if you guys want to ban any pokemon that we can all agree on then that works

I just had my first Pokemon Showdown fight, it went really well. Results are in the spoiler. My opponent was my roommate, he's raging about it right now.

The weird thing is that Pokemon Showdown said that since Pokebank doesn't come out until December, strategies involving tutored moves or Gems aren't legal. I had to make a copy of my team without those in order to battle.

Nah, I already know from Black 2 that my team gets thoroughly thrashed just from Shauntal. Facing an actual person with even better Ghosts would just be embarrassing.

Yeah, looks like I was wrong about the up-to-date-ness of PS.
I guess I'll join the tourney. I have a team I've been enjoying.

Metagross is not even close to Uber, he'll probably be UU this generation.

I think that might be overkill, we don't really need one and it seems they're only for big, mainstream things like tiers, other interests, and other languages, not third party forum sites.

Anyways, I guess the best thing to do right now is wait for Pokebank to come out so all our best strategies are available.

there is a chatroom for "would you rather"

i don't think we have to worry about standards

but yeah, unless our forum gets as big as smogon, looks like we don't need our own chatroom

i still have no idea how to challenge people

You go into literally any chatroom and type "/challenge (username)"
Then itll ask you to set your team, and then it challenges them

oh okay that sounds pretty easy

i was saying we should have our own chatroom so we can challenge people there, but i guess nobody will mind if we use the lobby. i guess that's what the lobby is for after all

There's a tier called "Pokebank OU" that allows all 5th gen pokemon in advance. We can use that.
