Okay, Spark wanted me to remind everyone that Space players' dreamselves tend to wake up earlier, so I guess I'm doing that?

It doesn't seem entirely relevant yet unless Taz happens to fall asleep/saw something in the clouds that caused him to begin journeying away from home or something. Though actually, that might make sense.

Anyway, Spark seemed to think some of you might have thoughts on this. Do you have any such thoughts?

(Yeah, I pretty much suck at seeing the big picture on ANYTHING. You can probably consider this thing to not really have a true GM but just a shaky "leader" who is trying to keep things together.)

Oh okay, I felt like I was missing something since I thought you were just hinting that Taz waking up early would have a bunch of far-reaching consequences and time shenanigan tie-ins I wasn't aware of or something, and that was because I was, since you meant all the dreamselves. XD

How does that look? Does anyone want to change planets?
At least one person on Prospit has to switch to Derse if we want this to be "balanced".

but if i had to guess glitch would probably be prospit?

I vaguely remember explaining this before, but I'll say it again. My choice for Scoville to be on Prospit is probably 30% personal preference since although there's nothing overtly bad about being a Derse dreamer, if I was going to make a character for a SBURB session (especially one as thought-out and complex as Scoville), I'd like him to be Prospit. The other 70%: to me it's sort of like the game is saying, "hey, your life is crappy, and all this really bad shit's happened to you in the past, but there's still hope. all you have to do is look up." I really want Scoville to see that, so he's more complex than a simple woobie. Sort of the same way that Tavros and Vriska were Prospit dreamers, even though both of them could have been Derse.

But yeah, someone has to switch to Derse. I'll take the fall if someone else on Prospit doesn't have as good a reason to be there, but I'd prefer to stay there.

And out of curiosity, VD, what of Scoville's backstory makes you think he should be on Derse?

So far, Space players have only ever been Prospit dreamers, and Time players have only ever been Derse dreamers. Do we want to use this? It would mean Taz would be a Prospit dreamer, and Tobias a Derse dreamer.

That does rather strongly suggest Taz should be Prospit, doesn't it?

Yeah, I noticed that when you said that and I even thought it was interesting, but for some reason I didn't immediately connect that with Prospit in my mind. It makes too much sense for me to not agree now though.

The way I saw it, Prospit dreamers are not always but often the more energetic, optimistic, straightforward, and/or naive people, and Derse dreamers are not always but often the more complex, troubled, aloof, mischievous, and/or mysterious people, who may or may not be suffering/misunderstood in some way (I guess that definition breaks down a bit at Feferi and Karkat, but you have to admit that Karkat was pretty damn persistent; Feferi did also sort of have a bit of a dark background in having to live with a huge nightmarish sea monster and yet being pretty much toast with anything less). Scoville seemed more on the "complex and troubled" side, but like I said, forget that.

I checked the wiki, and apparently there is a little bit of a pattern between aspects and planets. Practically all the changes that suggested other than Banyu were to Prospit though (^), which was not much help.

Hartwell (Light): Prospit (I think you're just about stuck with Prospit since it's pretty much the planet of Light)

Asha (Hope): Prospit (Hope could be either actually, but I thiiink it depends on your class and whether you destroy hope or not; Maid of Hope probably fits with Prospit)

Also, VD, there's also the part where Banyu isn't actually that "straightforward" and is just faking it in a way and all so I do think she fits better on Derse

Yeah, that looks good to me. What's the list of planets so far then? I'm Land of Glass and Magma, LoGaM. Spark is LoGaT, Xaber is LoGaF. (dang what's with these G words)

So, who wants to post next? I know we all have plans for our characters, but who requires conversations to make a post? We should start scheduling that.

For example, my plan with Scoville is that he's distracted up until the time Pen contacts him as a server player, that way he doesn't have a chance to bury Tyrogue. Before then I was thinking he could talk to the other players to get to know them, since even though he doesn't know it yet, as a Heart player therapy's going to be his job.

I like that hourglass idea. I kind of don't know about his land being pretty much the same as the place he left though... isn't Sburb at least supposed to present something... um, different? XD

It might make more sense if it was emphasised that it was like the place he left, but way in the future after... I don't know, something bad happened. Or something neutral but still really big that had both good and bad effects. I can't think of anything right now, but maybe you can?


Also, here are some random suggestions I just made up on the spot for the other players. They aren't all that serious, nor are they connected to any greater plan of mine, so you don't have to take them seriously. I just like to think up stuff like this sometimes.

• Pen: Land of Grids and Sparks (Mind + maps is making me imagine some kind of weird "cyber" world where there are grid lines everywhere and i dunno, maybe weird random warp points from place to place so you can kind of randomly walk on ceilings and stuff, kind of like in the Distortion World? It would make more sense if they screwed up causality/timelines somehow too, but I don't know how that would work.)
  
• HHO: Land of Swamps and Lights (as in, some kind of weird unexplainable fairy-looking things... if you can think of something better for Life, be my guest)
  
• Banyu: Land of Mirages and Desolation (some kind of darkened but open place, like shrubland or something; Void for some reason made me think "dark and mostly deserted")
  
• Cyano: Land of Bones and... something?
  
• Kachi: Land of Sway and Plasma (like, the superheated gas type of plasma, so the planet has these weird lightning-auroras in the sky or something)
  
• Asha: Land of... something... and Rainbows
  
• Isaac: (I can't think of anything)
  

Taz... hmm. I guess Land of Plains and Frogs, just because the lack of brush or tree cover would frustrate him.

My Land is a pitch dark place where the only light source are the ignis fatuus and my quest could be "to ignite the great fire of the sky".

Without Sun there wouldn't be much heat on my planet so it could be the Land of Hail and Wisps.

Oh my god, Light and Life are just tripping me up left and right, aren't they? I don't even know what I'm doing any more with regard to those two aspects. Lightifeightightifeight, whatever. XD

Yeah, if you're Light, which you are (god... XD) Wisps is a good deal less derpy and obvious than Lights. Land of Hail and Wisps sounds good, though it does make me wonder where ectothermic salamanders are going to live. Underground maybe? >:?

And if you can update, that's great. We were talking about who would update next on the Skype chat and I came up with an idea for an update, but since I have homework to do it's kind of good to have an excuse not to make it right away.

But in any case here's some stuff I revealed there about Taz that other people might want to know? I'm spoilering it because it's kind of long.
