Hey guys, on another topical subject, ORAS is the next big game most of us are waiting for and I recently found out/remembered (I wasn't paying attention) that Europe gets it a week after everyone else. I blame Italy, personally.

But when it does can I still request a hand with getting my eggs traded over :0 Can't do it without Bank and I don't have another 3DS. So if you see me assume I'm PHYSICALLY DYING BECAUSE IT'S BEEN THREE HOURS AND I HAVEN'T LEFT OLDALE YET/playing Y and want to trade 5 eggs for shitmons, before swapping games and trading these eggs back for what I will assume are Zigzagoon. Congrats on the Mewtwo, though.

Pocket candy... sounds half way between pocket sand (sha SHA) and the kind of thing teachers tell you to be afraid of when you're seven. Still tasty though. They were hard toffee candies and completely wrapped, so they're fine Besides it's one of life's little pleasures, finding a forgotten sweet in in the bottom of a nearly discarded pack!

And also, I just traded the Mewtwo for a previously given-away Latios delighted with it! The guy wanted the Mewtwo and had the Latios, I wanted the Latios and had the Mewtwo. FINALLY a legendary that is actually impressive. And not just that, one I can use - it's got Defog!

There are multiple pokemon who have died to crits from full health. Ghave and Chainer being two of them.

I have two revives and a max revive. Currently unsure whether I should use them to revive dead pokemon or hold them for future use when my more important pokemon die.

Oona is the last of the old guard. She's mama bear.
Azusa is distant and bitter, having seen the cruelty of her trainer.
Szadek is sadistic like his trainer, and gets along well with her.
MEMNARCH EXISTS TO SERVE.
Karador is the newest member of the team, and is confused about his role. He can tell something is wrong.
Vorosh does not care about anything other than getting stronger. He obeys his trainer because her orders further his goals.

Just curious:

Does anyone have, in their collection, a Damp Mudkip? Most of you guys probably aren't GTS hoarders like I am so probably not. Damp Mudkip are available, but only from gen 5 event mudkips that were then bred, like most HA starters. I was lucky enough to get an Iron Fist Chimchar yesterday But no breeding Swampert for me until I get Damp! Damp isn't really useful, but... it's a million times better than Torrent for a mega. Sceptile doesn't have to worry about it because all of it's abilities are useless as a mega

(I'm also looking for HP Fire 30/30 Magnemites or Dittos. But NOBODY's gonna have those. Magnezone is so good lately )

Wait, Swampert's HA is Damp? ...Shit, that's actually a really good counter to Primal Groudon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Damp just block Self-Destruct and Explosion? How does that counter Primal Groudon?

I have a Chimchar, a Torchic and a Charmander as well as multiple Bulbasaur and Froakie with their hidden abilities but neither of the two mudkips I got so far had their hidden ability, sorry.

Yeah Damp just blocks self KO moves. It's not very useful, just rarely seen in suicide leads like, uhh, Azelf. Which itself is rarely seen. 'Course, some wifiers will be using boomGlalie, so it's nice to have something that can switch in on it, except...

Glalie runs freeze dry. Fun fact: back in 4th gen, when Swampert was good, a Smogon article ran about abilities that different Pokémon should have. They ACTUALLY went with Damp for Swampert. Nearly called it, but... It was pretty bittersweet.

Mostly I just don't want to have a Swampert that's sub par in any way. Torrent is absolutely useless as a mega. I'm the same with most of my Pokemon; if I flake out on natures or iffy abilities or go 28 instead of 31 it bothers me every time I look at that Pokemon (sorry, Timid Greninja!) And thanks, OJ, but I doubt you'll have any luck. No one on the GTS offers HA mudkips, they've been available since XY began and I've traded dozens - Nada. I expect it'll be more popular once ORAS is out.

Speaking of which, Greninja is now TOTALLY on the ubers chopping block. It was a tad difficult to switch in on before, but doable by extreme specially defensive types. But now, it learns Gunk Shot and Low Kick, and Mixed sets are taking over the pre-ORAS meta, and it's list of counters are effectively zero. Which sucks because that's not balanced with that speed tier and an ability like Protean. It can still get revenged killed, but so can most Uber threats? The only saving grace froggy has is that by the time it's out we'll be too busy dealing with MegaSalamence and MegaSlowbro (don't ask) to care :B

Yeah, it is unlikely but I am going to trade away thirty pokemons or so, so who knows.

Well, HA Altaria gets cloud nine? So that's something, and it's relevant in the same way that Dampert is.

Charizard Y's Fire Blasts or Solar Beams. Sure, great idea, but what are you gonna do back? Unless you can DD on the recharge turn. That's a possibility.
Tyranitar. But you can't switch in on any rock move or ice beam, and been crunch will hurt before mega evolving, also, you're not very strong afterwards and can't do too much right away. The most you've done is saving yourself from a turn of sandstorm damage on switch-in.
You resist Politoes's Hydro Pumps, but scalds are scary half the time and Ice Beam is likely. Still, useful for stalling out a turn or two of Rain.
Abomasnow? AbomaNO.
Hippowdon... Good luck setting up on it with Whirlwind and Ice Fang (or Rock Slide on the switch). Draco Meteor may dent it. Maybe.
You can stall a Swampert sweep by switching in on Rain Dance, but Swampert runs Ice Punch as standard... Still, you outspeed without rain, so maybe cotton guard sets could win? Might be useful in a clutch situation, but as soon as you megaevolve Swampert outspeeds you again.
