About that "leak":
1) Megaevolving requires the Pokemon to hold its Stone, Arceus "gimmik" is it's changing type depending on the Plate it holds. Basically, a Megaevolution would ruin Arceus' current gimmik

2) Might be just me but like with Mewtwo, I'd feel a Megaevolution would ruin Arceus. It's supposed to be freaking GOD. "Yeah well, you're just god, let's find a way to make you more powerful"
Does that not seem weird to anyone else?

3) Arceus being forced to be a normal type would seem a bit odd to me, then again, changing its type upon Megaevolution would seem even odder, since Arceus had this whole "I can be what you want" thing going on

4) Another small bit but Arceus' stats are perfectly balanced between the six stats. IF his Megaevolution would add a total of 100, like it does with (nearly) all other mons, it would force an imbalance between these stats, since 100 can't be devided by 6 without a rest. Of course his Megaevolution could add either 90 or 120 total but then it'd be the only one who does that (Except for Alakazam, which was likely a mistake)

Leaks:
Yeah, I have to agree with OJ on this one. Arceus's deal is that it could be any type with a wide variety of moves it could know. Besides, it's supposed to be Poké-god. Giving it a more powerful form feels like saying "Okay never mind, it wasn't ever as powerful as we said it was, but now it is!" i.e. a major fumble on behalf of the devs. Mega Evolution makes sense for any other Pokémon because they actually have some higher power level they could reach, but not for a Pokémon that's supposed to be more or less omnipotent.

i don't think arceus is a god

i think it's an animal given godlike status through mythology

in fact that's basically what i think for all legendaries

Okay, most legendaries are more along the lines of lesser deities. Arceus isn't just supposed to be a god, it's supposed to be the God.

Well that was unintelligible.

So. Hungary. Huh. Well there you go.
Unrelated to anything, do you think that now that Protean exists, Arceus deserves it as some sort of DW ability or similar? Yeah Multitype probably suits it better but it would be fun. Oh wait, this is the spoiler thread.  Nvm, wrong thread.

I am 99% sure that Arceus being god is nothing you believe or not but a canon fact inside the Pokemon games. Hmm, actually more like 90% sure, I'm not that sure about any of the gen 4 stuff.

But I think saying that Arceus isn't THE god is like saying that Deoxys isn't from Space or that Mewtwo wasn't actually made in a lab from Mews DNA.

About your Vegetable Soup:
I had actually thought about Protean but there are reasons why I feel as if that's not enough. Sure, you still got the Type changing but it's not nearly the same. It doesn't interact with Judgement that well for example.

I think at some point or another, we need to just consolidate threads.

or lock some out.

Maybe have one general chat thread with a higher page limit.

there's a page limit?oh wait you mean that thing where it cuts off the thread and makes a new one.  i don't know how to change that.

also i don't think arceus is ever given any godlike status except in the anima and manga, which we all know is bullshit anyway.  all the game descriptions only say that it is a god in mythology

It is described in mythology as the Pokémon that shaped the universe with its 1,000 arms.
It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed.
It is said to have emerged from an egg in a place where there was nothing, then shaped the world.
According to the legends of Sinnoh, this Pokémon emerged from an egg and shaped all there is in this world.

True, that what the pokedex says. I was more talking about the plot of the games themself. But again, I don't know too much about gen 4 so I'm not sure.
