Choice Words with OJ

Post by OverlordJ on Wed Nov 13, 2013 5:48 pm

Since my signature isn't big enough to fit all the sigquotes I want into it, I'll just post all the quotes I want to sigquote here and link to this thread in my signature. Credit for this idea goes to Hanky Panky who both had the idea to make this thread as well as the beautiful name.

Sigquotes:

invisibleTerrarium wrote:Hey, gamefreak, if you're reading this? You've fucking failed.
muffinz wrote:lemme be honest with you, when i first saw dededeen, my first reaction was literally "oh, they made a raichu pre-evolution?" before i realized that one of those already exists

dont they have that already though
Hanky Panky wrote:what would also be cool is if there was a gym for every type in Kalos.

invisibleTerrarium wrote:People really underestimate Slurpuff because it looks like somebody painted a piece of shit pink and stuck a cherry on top. It's actually capable of everything that an actual piece of shit could do. I.e., smelling awful and being generally terrible to look at.
tinning3 wrote:My problem isn't Purrloin standing up, that's all fine and dandy. My problem is that this is effecively a retcon showing that either purrlion is actually a biped which was alluded to nowhere else, or can somehow change their very skeletal structure to accomplish the same thing, which is again shown nowhere else. It's just... it's a huge biological fail, which is really jarring for someone not expecting it. I know I'm making a huge deal out of it, but it doesn't look right. It should have been more like the manga.

((And don't worry, I'll probably go back to find the older posts I wanted to sigquote but couldn't to add them to this thread as well))

Since the MSPA Forum updated their rules on signatures, let me move all my sigquotes to this thread instead:

Oh gosh the whole time I was bonding with amazing people over shared interests in a place devoted to said interests and forming real and lasting friendships which have significantly positively impacted my life I never considered that I might be inconveniencing the "asshole who doesn't give a shit and only shows their face around here to bitch about other people having fun" demographic.  I'm terribly sorry.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped using wussy lances and switched to badass hammers, he could fight like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on an airship with the hero your hero could fight like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an eight ball with two tickets to Con Air. Look again, the tickets are now grist. Anything is possible when your hero fights like an Heir of Breath and not a wussy. I’m on a horse.”

I don't really know. I WILL however proceed to write about this new discovery with
Eridan <> Mustache of German Accent.
Spoiler:
He strode into the room sporting some of the most glorious facial hair in all of Alternia. By the wicked elixir! You could cull a troll with that fine mustache. It's proud owner was none other than the eccentric, Eridan Ampora. He was a pompous sea dweller, but one with high standing. It had been many years after his "crazy genocide incident", but that only made the Grand Highblood pleased with the bloodshed. They were dark times, hidden behind the black sheen of Ampora's upper lip. It was said to be magical, to bestow upon it's proud wearer the fabled GERMAN ACCENT. In exchange for fine grooming, the mustache would balance out the basic flaws of the owner. Thus, Eridan learned how to function around others, and cherished the facial apparatus more and more until they entered a fine pale romance. They would watch out for each other, and protect each other. Many who came by the thousands sporting razors in both hands were immediately turned away by Ahab's Crosshairs. Any who dared try to upstage Eridan was given a face full of AUTHORITY STACHE. Such is the power of facial hair.

Alternate theory: Caliborn's session is actually what a normal Sburb session is supposed to be like. The TRUE PURPOSE of the game is to kill your co-players and become an immortal time-traveling demon. All the stuff about growing a universe frog is just a failsafe, a bullshit spare adventure the game tosses up if more than one player successfully enters the game for whatever reason.

There's always something stopping you from successfully deploying the Genesis Frog. Not enough time to find the last frog that would make the universe stable, too much teen drama, interference from outside the session, not enough prototypings. And the reason is that it is actually flat out impossible. The frog is just there to distract you from the fact that you already lost your chance at the ULTIMATE REWARD when you failed to murder your ecto-siblings.

Oh!  You're welcome!  I'm glad you had fun with this.  These kinds of threads are really what I feel the forum is all about.  Somewhere where forumites can come together and have a good time in a way which doesn't take up numerous threads or delve into unsavory territory.  And most of all, people grew closer.  Holiday cheer indeed!

Of course it's a delusion. Bluh. This should be obvious. Especially to all you guys, since you're all just figments of my own fragmented psyche that I came up with to cope with the horrific realization that no work of fiction like Homestuck could ever exist in real life.

Once I wake up, I'll forget all about this Homestuck business, but will forever be unsatisfied due to my longing of what could have been.
