Re: Second Annual Secret Delibird--Christmukkah in December Edition
I've been thinking.
I won't train any more Pokemon until after this is over. I mean, I can get through four complete Pokemon in a week, that number could hit 8 or more on holidays, and I preempting whatever gift I'm getting. It's just SO EASY though. I did Klefki in half a day just because it doesn't need offensive stats.
also here have a promotional doodle from a few months ago when I was planning the last set of gifts. These were just the ones I happened to doodle together. Also it's like an inch tall. Shmall shtuff.

I really like that doodle.
by the way when is the deadline for having your pokemon trained? I haven't even turned pokemon on since Link Between Worlds came out.

10 minutes and it was a middle finger trackpad jobbie. I feel silly now. All I did was scribble on top and set it to overlay!

Re: Second Annual Secret Delibird--Christmukkah in December Edition
Well, firstly, even Santa has internet so I don't know where you could possibly go that doesn't. (Kidding)
You should probably get your gift ready ASAP and give it to your giftee early. An early gift is preferable to a late one. And then maybe since you announced it, the person who is getting yours will do theirs early too, but they probably won't tell you until they're finished which is an indeterminate amount of time so they might miss their chance. I guess that's life. (p.s it's not me sorry)
Also if you get it don't say what it is or react or anything because everyone should react at the same time, more or less!

- Spoiler:
- I am considering doing a thign now that I have my tablet. Given the response to my clolordlodel, I am thinking of making a thread over the holidays where people can scan in small, basically shaded PKMN doodles they have drawn and I'll do a quick colour jobbie and upload it. Limited time only or w/e. Maybe.

Re: Second Annual Secret Delibird--Christmukkah in December Edition
my gift is already basically ready actually
i could do some touch-ups and stuff maybe, levels and all that, but if necessary i can give it at any point
(im gonna go on the 21st btw so i have until then to do early stuff and all)

I still can't believe people actually try for that. The odds of it being actually usable are tetchy.
But if you want to increase your chances of a shiny, here's a possible tip;

It's a riddle guys. You have to know it's a riddle.
Of course I wasn't kidding about the "possible". Solving it may be a waste of time.
(Also what's with the nickname D-erivations)

Re: Second Annual Secret Delibird--Christmukkah in December Edition
THE RIDDLE IS THERE'S NO TIP!
Shiny hunting is hard work. Although there is actually a tip to be had, that is: by finding that one website where everyone breeds the shiny thier game is most likely to create and then trading them off out of good will (I think that's how it worked anyway.)
(also it's purely coincidental, you're being paranoid D-Whizzle.)

Re: Second Annual Secret Delibird--Christmukkah in December Edition
The thing about the Masuda method is that it's a lot easier to control for Nature, IV's, and Ability, along with passing on Egg Moves. In the Friend Safari, you know that you'll get two perfect IV's, and you can use Synchronize to manipulate Natures, but it's still a big gamble. For any other method, it's a complete crapshoot. Also, if the Masuda method got its chances doubled like the base shiny encounter rate, the probability is about 1/683, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Aaaaand still nobody has caught what the tip refers to. I mean, it's completely self-evident.
By the way, that was also a tip.
