Ledian-Lv.85-Light Screen, Reflect, Swift, Bug Buzz
Fortress-Lv.72- Double-Edge, Spikes, the fact that i can only remember two of its moves should tell you how much i used it.

- ice gym was pretty easy.:
basically a staring contest between ferrothorn and avalugg, and the rest was talonflame's Flare Blitz. this marks the first time i got to use Flare Blitz to defrost myself o:
had to use lapras for victory road since surf is mandatory there. she replaced fortress, and saw just as much usage as it had. i.e, none.
- THE ELITE FOUR, ON THE OTHER HAND...:
ARE NOT GOING SO WELL.
i knew this team was majorly lacking coverage, but i did/could not bother fixing that since we were always so overleveled. we're still overleveled, but that didn't save us this time.
i did fire first, since that obviously poses the biggest threat to a team of ferrothorn, fortress, ledian, raichu, talonflame, and goodra.
goodra OHKO'D most things with Aqua Tail after its Rain Dance, at the very end surviving chandelure's Shdow Ball with ONE HP before ko-ing.
to give you an idea how bad our coverage is: aqua tail is literally the only thing SE on fire my team has.
dragon was next, since i mostly lack moves to hit them with as well. i knew there'd be at least one flying there, so stealth rock would be worth it....except i sent out fortress first to lay Spikes and suicide with Double Edge. a couple of those took out dragalge. Gyro Ball unfortunately wasn't enough to get past Noivern, and i switched goodra into the inevitable second Flamethrower. she ko's with Dragon Pulse. i'm still trying to set up stealth rock for some reason, so i do that against altaria and switch to raichu, since ferrothorn could barely dent it after its Cotton Guard. raichu finishes it off with Thunderbolt, but got Dragon Tail'd away when druddigon came out. fortunately, that dragged out Goodra, who ended things with Dragon Pulse
i figured water would be simple; Nasty Plot+Thunderbolt[or Grass Knot, if need be] would decimate everything. ledian goes out first to set up dual screens while clawitzer spams Water Pulse. raichu switches in AND GETS CONFUSED ON THE SWITCH, RAUGH. but it manages to pull of both Nasty Plot and a thunderbolt to get rid of clawizer. gyrados comes in, raichu hurts itself and then falls to Earthquake....
...i realized i was screwed when ledian was out and an unscathed gyrados had gotten in two Dragon dances.
attempt2 yielded a Noble Roaring pyroar, so i briefly switched to talonflame to reset stats. it managed to OHKO pyroar with its own hyper voice via Me First. after that it was Rain Dance+Aqua Tail again.
i opened with Stealth Rock and proceeded to stall dragalge's pulses until i knew i could switch into the hyper potion use. the entire rest of the match was Dragon Pulse.
Nasty Plot+Thunderbolt went off perfectly this time.
forgot to put talonflame at the front for steel, but all it had to switch into was Torment, and a Flare Blitz quickly ended klefki shenanigans. ferrothorn's Power Whip dealt with probopass easily enough, and the rest was Flare Blitz.
octi gave me a prize money power right before i faced diantha :y
raichu leads with a swift t-bolt OHKO on hawlucha
ferrothorn comes in and power whips tyrantrum to death with the help of leech seed and its ability.
GOODRA SHOWDOOOOWWWNNN!! OHKO'D THAT SUCKA WITH A DRAGON PULSE CRIT HIT.
Gyro Ball makes short work of auroros
talonflame easily takes out gourgeist and also manages to OHKO megardevoir with Flare Blitz.
FINAL TEAM

Apparently it's totally a think in like, 80% of all countries. I'm thinking I'll collect some christmas beetles and give it a try.

Oh wow, so it is. Whoops, I never noticed. Don't worry about losing to the water team. I had a decent-ish team and 2 mons with a type advantage and still lost my first match. That damn Gyrados with Earthquake... corsola has a pretty cool shiny.

edit: i only lost because i let it set up on me like an idiot. also my team was 20-ish levels ahead, so that's even more embarrassing.

You'll have to wait until December 27, then. If I had another shiny to trade, I would, but I'm not giving up my Skrelp. I could probably try chain-fishing again to get something for you, but it wouldn't happen until the weekend at the earliest, and I don't really want a Mankey anyways.

I got a shiny Magneton, but I'm not all that thrilled after the initial excitment. Magneton's shiny is basically 'generic brown all over' compared to the silver steel and coloured magnets of the normal colouration.

Abra's catch rate is high enough that you can catch one in a quick ball without fail. 200 catch rate = 26% chance with a pokeball at full health.
