I haven't since Gen III, and I lost that one. Still hoping I'll be able to find something this game.

The shiny rate is increased this gen, but I'm at the last gym and i havent found any

Mr. Tie over in mspaf found a shiny fletchling. He didn't want it.

Don't know why you wouldn't want a shiny, but whatever. Although if anyone gets a shiny Inkay, let me know immediately. Or at least post pictures.

But I'll try to get one for Caledwelsh with supper-training and then once I find the one that you can find normally on the ground (because obvoisly one of them exists SOMEWHERE), I'll give it to you. Oh, by the way, are there any good moves I should wait for before fully evolving my Caledwelsh? Assuming I do take him all the way to the end, which I am... not totally sure about yet. We'll see.

oh god, guys, the badlands is a freaking trap. I almost got locked into eternal fighting, because I got into a battle near a spawning point, and as soon as the battle was over a new one started. Fortunately I could run away after like 8th battle.

three shinys among 20-ish people, within the first week? geez, just how much HAVE they boosted the encounter rate?!

But I'd rather what I have now! One of my 3DS friends has a normal type safari... With a 33% chance of spawning Dittos, all of whom have minimum 2 perfect IVs, and 33% of those have impostor! I also got a Protean Froakie: and Protean grants STAB to all moves!! Plus, completing the singles (not super singles) in the battle maison gives exactly enough points for 3 power items, and it's really easy.

My official favourite place in all of the games ever ever ever is Kiloude city. If only they had a hidden power checker and daycare :3 suck it goldenrod!

Say, do you get stab right when you use it or only on the second time?

Basically, does it change your type before or after you attack?

Anyway. I thought the same thing you did; Protean would activate after the attack so you'd go STAB-less except on consecutive moves. I was partially right; the ability activates after you SELECT the move. Stab everything. So cool. Greninja looks like a lot of fun to use, and if it turns out to be sub-UU or something, well, I'm not gonna use it for a team anyway. Just to get me somewhat through the battle maison and for funsies. Suffers from major 4 moveslot syndrome though...

Also. Hanky, X and Y say you are a Poison type! How great is that, 'bat? And Chris/Tiarnan are both psychic types. I think Rozewolf is Grass, not sure. If she is then I can thank her for the eventual hidden ability Venusaur I'm definitely gonna get.

You know, I never expected Furfrou to be any more than yet another medocre-to-bad gimmick 'mon like Spinda or Chatot, but so far, Daryan has been an absolute beast. That ability effectively gives him 75/110/90 defenses, and yet he's also got very respectable offense and speed. His movepool's a little shallow so far, with only Normal moves and Bite, but that's literally the only problem I've had with him at all. I'm just surprised they let you catch something with 465 BST and a stat-doubling ability a town and a half after the first gym.

Always farmink ze berries! It's very relaxing. Is that why people play Animal Crossing?

Hot dang, Stab on everything could be really mean...

Though at the same time, it could be dangerous since your resistances and weaknesses will always shift around...

Also, I assume that if you use a water move you'd lose your Dark type, which could give you some trouble but IDK
